VENUE AND LOCATION

CONFERENCE VENUES

Due to the current restrictions in greater Melbourne and lockdown in Sydney, Ideaction.2021 Part One was hosted virtually, with Day Two transitioning to a later date to be determined once clarification has been provided by the New South Wales and Victorian Government.

GEELONG

Part Two: Novotel Geelong, Monday 22 November 2021

In 2021, the main base for the National FM Conference & Exhibition is going to Geelong! A thriving commercial centre located just one hour from Melbourne, Geelong offers a picturesque coastal backdrop for Ideaction.2021.

As Victoria’s second largest city, Geelong boasts a diverse range of shops, extending all the way down to the foreshore. Delegates can explore popular beach-front attractions such as Eastern Beach, the Steampacket Gardens, the dining options on Cunningham Pier, and coastal walks dotted with bollards depicting historic characters. Or check out historical facilities such as the National Wool Museum, the Old Geelong Gaol and the Botanic Gardens at Eastern Park.

Founded in 1837, Geelong was named from the Aboriginal word jillong, meaning “a tongue of land”. Its Traditional Owners are the Wadawurrung people – we acknowledge their continued connection to the land and pay our respects to their Elders, past present and emerging.
